A major UK conservatory roof manufacturer needed to reduce the manual handling of the roofing sheets before they were cut into shape. The sheets were 2.1m wide by 7m long and needed transferring from a pallet onto a cutting machine. We designed and installed an automatic system to pick the individual sheets from the pallet, which we mounted on a scissor lift, and then transfer them to the cutting machine where they were positioned accurately. Before the next sheet was put down we designed a system to eject the waste from the previous sheet.
